LSU defeats Nicholls

The LSU Tigers defeated the Nicholls Colonels 55-0 on Saturday night in Tiger Stadium. The win was LSU's second of the season and improved their record to 2-1. Nicholls fell to 1-2 with the loss.

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels threw for 249 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown.

Running back John Emery Jr. led LSU's rushing attack with 99 yards on 19 carries.

Tulane gets hosed

The Tulane Green Wave lost to the Southern Miss Golden Eagles 30-24 on Saturday night in Yulman Stadium. The loss was Tulane's first of the season and dropped their record to 2-1. Southern Miss improved to 2-1 with the win.

Tulane quarterback Michael Pratt threw for 263 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a touchdown.

Running back Tyjae Spears led Tulane's rushing attack with 111 yards on 20 carries.
